Fatal motorcycle crash on Cedar Ravine Road, Placerville,CA
A motorcycle was involved in an accident on Cedar Ravine Road, Placerville, resulting in the death of one person. Michael D. Rogers, 58, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, was fatally injured on Wednesday night after riding head-on into oncoming traffic, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Mtdemocrat news reports that Michael was riding south at about 8:27 p.m. when he crossed the Northbound lane and crashed into a 2013 Ford Explorer driven by a 63-year-old man. Emergency personnel rushed to the scene, but he was pronounced dead at 8:53 p.m. The driver and occupant of the Ford Explorer were fortunately uninjured.
